Spring Training 2027 from Mesa: Dates, Ballparks & Where to Stay

Updated October 19, 2026. The 2027 schedule is published, but MLB's labor agreement expires December 1, 2026. In early October the league told teams to prepare for a lockout, and no new deal is close, so spring training could be delayed. We'll update this page as news comes in.

Spring training is the best week of the year in the East Valley. The weather's perfect, the ballparks are small enough to feel close to the field, and you can catch a game every day. If you're bringing a group, here's how to plan it from Mesa.

2027 dates

Cactus League opens: Friday, February 19, 2027, with all 30 teams starting that day.
Games: 229 Cactus League games through late March. The last Arizona games are around March 20–23.
Regular season Opening Night: Wednesday, March 24, 2027.

Tickets and parking

Cubs (Sloan Park): single-game tickets were announced to go on sale Friday, December 4, at 11 a.m. Central on cubs.com, with a limit of six per game.
Sloan Park parking: it's cashless and first-come. Lots open 4 hours before first pitch, and some parking can be bought in advance. Free shuttles run from Mesa Riverview and Tempe Marketplace.
Scottsdale Stadium: parking fills fast. A free trolley runs from nearby free garages.
Salt River Fields: on-site parking, plus a free shuttle from Talking Stick Resort. It's the only MLB spring facility on Native American land.
Other teams: general tickets usually go on sale in early January.

Weather

Average highs are around 70 in February and the high 70s in March. Nights drop into the 40s, so bring a layer for night games. Sunscreen for day games is not optional.
